Plague Inc. Chinese Nuclear Retaliation Achievement Guide & Walkthrough

This achievement may be unlocked in all available plague types and even with cheat modes activated. What you need to do is coerce the newly-appointed president of the USA to nuke China(not exactly coerce, more like help her out). Symptoms must be evolved after specific events(pop-ups) appear, doing so would lead to more events that lead to the achievement being unlocked.

Update: Please notify me if this achievement can not be unlocked with a cheat mode active. Before the recent update, it was possible to unlock this with the use of cheat plagues. I'm not sure if it is possible to unlock now, now that cheat plagues have been moved to being cheat modes.

It is highly recommended to attempt to unlock this achievement with the cheat mode Immune Strain activated. This is because it takes quite a long time for the pop-ups to appear, really really long in some games. I also recommend using the Bacteria plague type in casual difficulty.

Here's the genes I used to make waiting a little more bearable.

Aquacyte
Sympto-Stasis

1.) Start in China

2.) Evolve the following in this order:

• Cysts
• Hyper Sensitivity
• Coughing
• Sneezing
• Bird 1 and 2
• Drug Resistance 1 and 2

3.) Keep an eye on USA and wait until the country is fully infected. Once it is, evolve Inflammation, Seizures, and Fever.

4.) Be patient and wait for this pop-up to appear:

USA President taken ill

5.) Right after seeing the pop-up above, evolve Insanity. Then wait for another pop-up to appear:

New President of USA selected

 6.) Spalin is now president. Once again, wait for another pop-up.

USA Threatens China

7.) Upon seeing the pop-up above, evolve Paralysis. Then, you guessed it, wait for another pop-up. This is the final one.

USA nukes China

8.) This pop-up signifies that you have unlocked the achievement. Congratulations!

You could either choose to finish the game or just quit. Whichever you choose, the achievement is already unlocked.
