Plague Inc. Getting Colder Achievement Guide

First of all, thanks to StarViruz of the appaddict.org forums for posting guides for Plague Inc. achievements. This guide is just a more elaborate and slightly changed strategy of what he did.

The 'Getting Colder' achievement is one of the many achievements that can be unlocked by playing the Necroa Virus special plague type. Like other Necroa-exclusive achievements, it has very specific conditions that you have to meet.

'Getting Colder' requires you to start the Necroa Virus in Egypt and make the pyramid explorers think that the Necroa Virus was started from the Pyramids of Giza. There are very specific events that need to pop-up for you to successfully unlock this achievement; Specific transmissions, abilities, and symptoms need to be evolved and devolved at the right time for these pop-ups to appear.

Here's the recommended gene setup:

• Cytochrome Surge
• Aerocyte
• Spliced Activation
• Based Oxidisation
• Hydrophile

You can experiment with the genes if you want. These are just the best recommendation I could give on genes.

1.) Start Necroa Virus in Casual difficulty.

2.) Start your plague in Egypt(it's on the left side of Saudi Arabia), the proceed to evolve the following as soon as possible:

• Saliva 1
• Heat Resistance 1

After a very short time this pop-up should appear. 

This pop-up signifies that you are on your way to unlocking Giza-related achievements

3.) After the pop-up above appears, you will now have to keep an eye on your news ticker. These two news reels must appear before you continue:

These news reels appear months apart, and sometimes won't pass by your news ticker, so be sure to manually check it.

Once the news reels above have appeared, continue by evolving the following:

• Insomnia
• Fever
• Photophobia
• Delirium
• Cytopathic Reanimation

4.) A while after the appearance of zombies, the next pop-up should appear:

After seeing this pop-up, immediately devolve Heat Resistance 1, then evolve Cold Resistance 1 & 2. Wait a little bit then the final pop-up that signifies that successful unlocking of the achievement will appear.

Technically, mummies ARE zombies, right?

Congratulations! You've successfully unlocked the 'Getting Colder' Achievement! It does not matter whether you finish the game or not. The achievement will already be unlocked on your achievements screen.
