Plague Inc. No Idea Achievement Guide

blogger
The No Idea achievement is self-explanatory and is kind of easy to get since it can be unlocked on Casual difficulty.

The No Idea achievement can be unlocked by playing in the Simian Flu special plague, it can be unlocked playing in Casual difficulty making it relatively easy to get.

This is what I did to get this achievement:

The genes I had equipped were:

  • ATP Boost
  • Aquacyte
  • ATP Overdose
  • Together Strong
  • Extremophile

First off, I started in India. Remember, play in Casual difficulty to make things more manageable.

With all the early DNA we get from the ATP genes, we'll be able to evolve Water 1 right away and Water 2 a short while after.

Gather some DNA then evolve Simian Neuro-genesis followed by Ape Colonies. Establish a colony in India as soon as you can. This will help generate some extra DNA.

Now evolve the following in this order:
  • Bird 1 & 2
  • Drug Resistance 1
  • Cold Resistance 1
  • Drug Resistance 2
  • Cold Resistance 2
With these resistances, cold and rich countries will be easier to infect, especially in Casual difficulty.

Now evolve Neuro-enhancement 1, 2, and 3 then Total Brain Death.

At this point, you'll want to increase your infectivity as much as possible, I recommend evolving these transmissions in this order:
  • Insect 1 & 2
  • Fomites 1, 2, & 3
  • Air 1 & 2
  • Extreme Bioaerosol
Add some more transmissions as you see fit.

Once every single country is infected and the total population of the world is almost infected(maybe 2/3 of the way infected), it'd be a good idea to evolve some more lethal symptoms like Hydrocephalus and Meningitis--to name a few.

Doing this, I didn't even have to worry about the Gen-Sys labs and drones popping all over the world.

Hope this guide has helped you, and as always, Happy Spicy Gaming!

  1. It should be noted that the achievement is fairly lenient -- in fact, I believe you only need to evolve Total Brain Death within the first year, and then win no matter how long it takes. I just finished in 460 days, but the achievement still unlocked for me. :)
