Another Simian Flu Update

blogger

As some you are wondering where our Simian Flu mega-brutal guide and walkthrough is, we are still working on it at the moment. We are making some good progress. That being said, we are still facing multiple problems at the moment that are causing major problems. The progress for the guide is slow and is going through a couple of major problems.

  • The time to complete the game is around 500 days
This is giving us trouble for the simple fact that it takes longer to complete one game and therefore making one game take longer then usual meaning time put in is not producing as many games. That being said, it is still not a major factor.
  • Genetic Shifts
At the end of some of the games we are playing we are trying to buy Genetic Shuffles and it says this.

...DNA points MEANING IT IS OVER 100 DNA POINTS FOR BUYING GENETIC RESHUFFLE I. The problem with this is pretty obvious due to the fact that DNA points for the end of the game are going through major inflation this reducing the actual value of DNA points.

  • Mutations are uncontrollable
We are getting lethal symptoms way to early and it gets increasingly costly to evolve them. As well as transmissions cause even more mutations over and over. A good example of a bad mutation we are getting is...
  • Neuro-Enhancement I, II, and III.
These symptoms don't kill anyone or infect anyone or really do anything except making anything problem with again causing cure research to go even higher. Again, to devolve it causes you to significantly lose valuable DNA points and also increases the cost of devolving for future devolutions.
  • Cure Research is going up way to fast.
Gen-Sys Research Labs are curing way to fast for us to use Ape Rampage/transport the apes to the given locations that have cure research labs.
  • Lethal Mutations are uncontrollable as well
We are getting major fatality rates way to fast causing countries to start cure research and shutting down ports way to fast.

Solutions

  • DNA point farming
This works by evolving ape colonies early and planting around 6 in Africa. Also evolving abilities Cognitive Shift and Education. Keep infectivity low for a while as apes get intelligent from the disease.
  • Use Ion Surge
This significantly decreases costs to devolve but increases cure research rates.
  • Use Together Strong
This is another "point farming" thing we are doing to increase DNA points to prevent absurdly expensive DNA costs at the end of the game.
  • Devolve Neuro-Enhancement I
This is important as it already has rapid cure pace.

As you are seen we are facing a couple of major problems for a working guide but I almost won the last game I last play and think I may have a working strategy soon. We are sorry that this is taking longer then expected but this is do to the factors that I have stated above.

Article Editing#1: Fixed a typo in the last paragraph and loosened some space. Did not effect guide

This isn't necessarily bad, killing a lot of people reduces DNA increase from genetic shifts.

I usually get Primal Awareness and War Paint, making the apes a lot harder to be discovered, increasing the amount of time before GenSys labs are made. War Paint also partially eliminates the need for Primal Hunt/Weapon Creation.

  2. Anyone knows how to deal with drones? They are just flying over my ape-colonies and after some time they get destroyed :(

  3. Buy Genetic Reshuffle 1 early in the game before Genetic Drift sets in. You'll pay roughly 80 DNA for it, which is still better than the 150+ you'll be paying when the Cure is a threat.

  4. Simple. Move the ape colony somewhere else ASAP.
